Suburbs vs. Small Town
I am often going back and forth on the things I love about small town living and the things I love about the suburbs. I could live in either one and never be completely satisfied because I would always miss something about the other.
Small Town
I loved the cost of living! It was so much cheaper to rent and buy groceries not to mention gas!
I love being able to drive 3 miles in 3 minutes. Never have to worry about traffic.
I really miss being able to walk all the way across town in an hour...or just down to the grocery to pick out something for dinner.
I miss apple orchards and pumpkin patches and corn fields...I love driving through the country.
I miss knowing all my neighbors and being minutes within family
Suburbs
If I want sushi I walk 15 minutes and its fresh!
There are 3 walmarts within ten miles of me. Nuff said
I love that I can pick from asian market, hispanic market, farmers marker...etc...
Even though apartment living is expensive and invasive its nice not worrying about a yard and walking to the swimming pool
I love how much there is to do here!
We have loved ones in both places now...I will always appreciate small town living for the simplicity it offers. And I will always appreciate the suburbs because we MADE it our home : )

An Awesome Summer
Jamie, Jubilee, and myself seriously had a great summer! We not only were able to spend a month with Guy but we were also able to spend ten days with Ricky and Cassy! (Jamie's brother and sister-n-law)
They started their visit by taking us to six flags for both of our birthdays! OH MY WORD! It was soooo fun. I can't even go into detail. I think Cassy had it right when she said "I felt like I was a little kid again". We stayed for almost ten hours! My favorite ride was Superman although it left me speechless : ) The water park was a lot of fun too and not nearly as busy since it was raining and a little chilly out. Yes. We are crazy : )
We actually packed alot in while they were here. From outlet shopping to visiting with some of Jamie and my friends to Trader Joes and a million trips to Dunkin Donuts! Not to mention we ate at some of our favorite places and grilled out a couple of times. We even made it downtown but it was a little bit of a hectic experience as we walked 6 miles in 94 degree humid weather AND lollapalooza was going on downtown!
They were even here for my birthday! Cassy and I went shopping with Jubilee at Khols and then all of us went out to Hackney's after Jamie came home from work. (We decided that is OUR restaurant. We eat there whenever they come.)Nathan and Abby were supposed to come by and they ended up surprising me with Christine, Deb, and Kami on my porch singing happy birthday with an AWESOME cake that Abby made for me! AND they even got me a gift...SETTLERS! : )
We had such a fun time and really good conversations. Now that they have been gone nearly a week and my brother nearly three Im starting to feel homesick. I really enjoyed having the people I love that close to me. (less than 900 square feet is pretty close!) I wish I could just merge all the towns where all my loved ones are. *sigh* oh well...as they say absence makes the heart grow fonder.
JUBILEE UPDATES:
Jubilee can now officially do the following
Sit up on her own
Stand with something to hold onto
Roll anywhere and everywhere
She is saying Dada and Cassy : ) haha
She laughs when you tickle her or make a funny face
Eating cereal and solids at least once a day
Pet the cats and actually tries to navigate herself towards them
Understands the word No and knows her name
Im sure there are other things I am forgetting. She is just getting so big! And her hair is long enough to put into a ponytail!
Thats about all I have to say! Write again when I can!

Hello there!
So it has been a minute since I have been on here...or several I should say! But I haven't had access to an internet connection : (
SO heres an update of things going on
Jamie, Jubilee and I went to my cousin Scotts wedding in late June and it was fantastic! Everything went perfect and I was even invited to help serve cake! I was sad that I could not go to his brother's this past weekend but I suppose that is life.
We brought Guy home with us on the way back and he has been here ever since...he will be going home tomorrow : ( which I am excited for because we are taking him but sad for because he will not be coming back.
Since he has been here we have had two of our good friends come and see him mostly but were glad to see me as well, naturally : ) one of them we hadn't seen in FOUR years! Jon, stayed for four days and we just had a blast hanging out and pretty much being bored. as we are broke.
Jubilee is getting so big! Just since the last I wrote she has learned to roll her self every which way on the floor and can nearly sit on her own. She is saying dadadada all day and would all night if she were up : ) reaching for toys and finding them if they are out of view. THEN when she finds them she sort of steers herself in that direction. She is just getting so big.
Well this has to be a short session but hopsefully I will be back soon!

Jubilee Update
So I realized it has been a while since I have posted new things about Jubilee...and since I enjoy making lists...here we go...
*She turned 5 whole whopin' months this week!
*She is going to bed, almost regularly, at 9 every evening and waking up about 7/8ish when she is fed and changed and takes another nap until about ten
*She can hold her own bottle the entire time she is eating. I dont even need to hold her anymore although sometimes I still do :)
*We went swimming with Daddy on Monday and she really really liked it! When we would lift her out of the pool she would become distraught until she was back in up to her chest again
*She loves to blow raspberrys in the air and also will make an occassional clicking noise with her toungue. She squeals and laughs and giggles and when she is upset it sounds like she is saying "mamamamamamama" which could turn into something good : )
*the only places she has been able to nap lately are in the van, in her crib, or sometimes on Mommy or Daddy's chest. I believe the crib is her favorite
*She goes right to sleep when being placed in her crib. She smiles. Grabs her pink silkie, pulls it towards her face and she is out
*She can only sleep with air blowing on or around her...she totally gets this from her Dad. I believe Aunt Cassy has these same tendancies....
*She loves her sesame street song book and music player, she loves my cell phone, she loves the cats, anything that is jingly sparkly,or flashy, she also loves her "sunny"(binky) and she loves the song mommy wrote her called "Certainly Do"
*She is doing awesome with tummy time and had rolled over a couple times
*she is weeks away from sitting on her own
*she is eating baby cereal everyonce in a while as well
I thinkt hat is about all....thats alot though huh???

Things Im Thinking Over...and About
I really need to listen to more music....I just dont listen to music all that much for some reason. It's so soothing
Im really enjoying my book "They love Jesus, but not the church"
Why do conservatives judge liberals for being to liberal? And why do liberals get upset about being judged and therefore turn around and judge the conservatives? One day we are all gonna have to hang out together....
I dont want to let anyone make me feel bad about being too nice. That sounds so funny...but some people really do give you a hard time for being nice. I just dont want to care about that
There are a few things worth being defensive about...and one of them is my daughter I have noticed
I love my life, I love all of it
I dont understand all of the aspects of God and His person. I want to but I don't. There is so much more to Him that I could ever understand and I dont wanna be that person who acts like they know Him inside and out
I love spending time with family. Jamie, Jubilee, Mom and Dad, Guy, Cassy and Ricky, Dad and Jeannie....and even extended family like cousins and grandparents...I just LOVE IT. So know you are all missed
Iced coffee is amazing and so is Aloe Fresh vaseline lotion. Both make me feel happy
Im so happy to be close to my sister in law Cassy...shes the only sister I've ever had! I love her!
I am so thankful for Annalee and Rachel...how amazing is it that I have two of my closest friends just about an hour or less away!
I miss Marianna and Barbara so much.....I think we should find a way to scoot Kokomo/Peru closer to Prospect Heights
Guy is coming for like 4 weeks and I am so thankful for that time with him!
I think that is all...iced coffee is calling me
